This residential roofing project in Los Angeles involved a complete removal and replacement of the existing shingle roof on a one-story home. The original roofing system, covering approximately 25 squares, was carefully removed and disposed of to make way for a more energy-efficient and durable solution. Our team then inspected the plywood decking underneath, replacing any damaged or deteriorated sections to ensure a solid foundation for the new roofing materials.

For maximum protection and performance, we installed Owens Corning DeckDefense® High-Performance Synthetic Roof Underlayment. We also used the Owens Corning Starter Strip Plus Shingle to enhance wind resistance and ensure a secure bond for the new shingle layers. The final shingle installation featured Owens Corning TruDefinition® Duration® COOL Shingles in the eye-catching “Night Sky” color, offering not only aesthetic appeal but also reflective cooling technology to improve energy efficiency.

Our crew applied proper flashing, drip edge, and attic ventilation components to boost the roof’s overall durability and lifespan. Ridge caps were replaced, roof accessories installed as needed, and the entire project was completed with a detailed final inspection by the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety (LADBS). The job wrapped up in five days, including inspection and full cleanup, leaving the home protected and looking refreshed.
